Safer exams, accurate diagnoses, quicker turnarounds, and costs saved for all.
Virtual colonoscopy (CT Colonography) is an approved option for screening for colorectal cancer by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and American Cancer Society.
Bowel prep performed at home the day before the ColoWatch study.
A thin, painless tube is inserted into the patient's rectum. The colon is then gently distended by carbon dioxide for optimal visualization. Very rapid ultra low dose CT scans are then performed. No sedation or IV needed.
Unlike regular colonoscopy, patients can leave the facility immediately after the test is complete and continue about their day.
Technologist logs into the ColoWatch platform and uploads the images. Our team will take over from there.
Expertly trained ColoWatch radiologist reviews the scans with our 3D imaging software. A report is then sent to the referring doctor.
Similar to other recommended preventative screening tests, the ColoWatch exam is typically reimbursed by most insurers[2].
[2] Medicare currently covers only diagnostic CT Colonography.
