Safer exams, no anesthesia, 95%[1] detection of colorectal cancer and 94%[1] detection of significant pre-cancerous polyps. Saves billions annually compared to traditional colonoscopy.

STEP 1
Patient referred to ColoWatch screening site

Virtual colonoscopy (CT Colonography) is an approved option for screening for colorectal cancer by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force and American Cancer Society.

STEP 2
Patient arrives prepped and ready

Bowel prep performed at home the day before the ColoWatch study.

STEP 3
Technologist begins ColoWatch study

A thin, painless tube is inserted into the patient's rectum. The colon is then gently distended by carbon dioxide for optimal visualization. Very rapid ultra low dose CT scans are then performed. No sedation or IV needed.

STEP 4
Patient goes on their way

Unlike regular colonoscopy, patients can leave the facility immediately after the test is complete and continue about their day.

STEP 5
Imaging uploaded to ColoWatch cloud-based platform

Technologist logs into the ColoWatch platform and uploads the images. Our team will take over from there.

STEP 6
We review imaging and send report

Expertly trained ColoWatch radiologist reviews the scans with our 3D imaging software. A report is then sent to the referring doctor.

Imaging center submits to insurance

Similar to other recommended preventative screening tests, the ColoWatch exam is typically reimbursed by most insurers[2].
